Anatomy

The Department of Veterinary Anatomy is one of the fundamental disciplines that enables veterinary medicine students to comprehensively learn the structure of animal bodies. This department examines the macroscopic structures of animals—such as the skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, digestive, respiratory, excretory, and reproductive systems—through comparative analysis across species.

Education is typically supported by theoretical classes, laboratory work, and dissection practices. In this way, students learn to compare the anatomical features of various animals, including farm animals (cattle, sheep, goats, horses), companion animals (cats, dogs), and exotic species.

Anatomical knowledge is of vital importance in veterinary education as it provides the foundation for both clinical and basic sciences such as surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pathology, and physiology.

The anatomy and dissection lab at our faculty is carefully designed to provide students with the most comprehensive learning experience in this essential course.
