Publication Ethics
To be published in the Hasvet Journal of Veterinary Medicine, a paper must be substantial and original. The Editorial Board does not accept articles published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Articles and other material published in this journal represent the opinions of the author(s) and should not be considered to reflect the views of the Editorial Board. All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening, and anonymous reviewing by independent expert reviewers.
After a plagiarism check and an initial screening for acceptability, submitted articles are distributed for double-blind peer review. Two reviewers write their comments on each article along with recommendations to publish the article, to publish with revisions, or to decline the article. The editorial staff forwards these anonymous reviews to the article author and gives the author further instructions about making amendments, if necessary. Authors should note that the peer review process can take 1 to 2 months or longer to complete due to the intensive flow of submissions.

Submission Guidelines

For the preparation of new e-bulletin content for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Khazar University, the following rules have been established based on academic publishing standards found in relevant sources.
 General Writing Rules &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Publication language: Bulletin content must be prepared in English. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Content types: The bulletin may include original research summaries, clinical case reports, and current review articles in the field of veterinary medicine. In addition to research articles, recent scientific developments contributing to the field should also be included. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Clarity and simplicity: Texts should be written in an academic style but remain concise and understandable, suitable for a bulletin format. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Abstract: Each type of article must include an abstract on the first page. The abstract should reflect the overall content of the article or news and avoid unnecessary details. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Title page: The article title, author names, academic titles, and institutional affiliations must be included. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Page layout: A4 size, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt; line spacing: 1.5 &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Headings: Headings and subheadings must be clearly distinguished. Main headings should be centered, while subheadings should be left-aligned.
 Use of Visuals and Figures &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Visuals, images, and tables must be numbered within the text, and captions should be written clearly and concisely under the figures in italic format. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Example: The aim was to accelerate the ankylosis process and increase configuration stability (Figure 1). Figure 1: Preoperative and postoperative radiographs of the patient. &nbsp; References and Citation Rules &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;In-text citation: References should be indicated using numbers in parentheses corresponding to the reference list. For a single source: (1); for multiple sources: (1, 2, ...). &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Reference list: The references section at the end of the bulletin should include full details such as author names, article title, page range, and DOI (if available). The list should be arranged alphabetically. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;General format: [Authors]. [Article title]. [Abbreviated journal name]. [Year]. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Author format: The author&rsquo;s surname is written in full, followed by the initial of the first name (e.g., Landsberg G). Authors are separated by commas. For more than two authors, &ldquo;et al.&rdquo; is used. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Article title: Written in full sentence format, with only the first letter capitalized, and ending with a period. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Journal name: In veterinary literature, journal names are typically written in standard abbreviations and in plain text (not italicized). &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Year: Written after the journal name with a space. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Volume-issue-pages and DOI: May be added optionally. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Volume and issue: Written after the year with a semicolon (;) in the format Volume (Issue) (e.g., 2009;22(05)). &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Page numbers: Written after the issue with a comma (,) indicating start and end pages (e.g., 398&ndash;405). &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Example: 1. &nbsp; &nbsp;Karn-Buehler J, Kuhne F. Call for Papers — Special Issue

The primary purpose of peer review is to provide the Editor with the information needed to reach a fair, evidence-based decision that adheres to the journal's editorial criteria. Review reports are also intended to help authors revise their paper such that it may be accepted for publication.
Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers
Peer reviewers should adhere to the principles of COPE's Ethical Guidelines for Peer-reviewers. Reviewers should assess papers exclusively against the journal's criteria for publication.
Review Conventions and Process:

<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively; personal criticism of the author or defamatory remarks are inappropriate.</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Competing Interests: Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts with which they believe they have a competing interest resulting from competitive or collaborative relationships.</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Double-Blind Process: In the peer-review process, both the authors' and reviewers' identities are concealed from each other to ensure a high-quality, fair, and unbiased evaluation.</li>

Editorial Workflow:

<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">External Review: Manuscripts that fall within the scope of the journal and meet quality standards are assigned to a minimum of two external reviewers.</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Timeline: Assigned reviewers are generally given one to two weeks to respond to the invitation and an additional week to complete the review.</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Decision: Once all reports are submitted, the Editor may accept the manuscript unaltered, consider it after minor/major changes, or reject it.</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;">Revision: If changes are suggested, authors are notified to prepare a final copy with required amendments. The revised manuscript is accepted only if it meets publication ethics and author guidelines.</li>

Editorial Authority:
The editorial workflow grants Editors the authority to reject any manuscript due to inappropriateness of content, inadequate quality, or inaccuracy in results.

Peer Review Policy

The names and email addresses entered in the journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party. The data collected from registered and non-registered users of this journal falls within the scope of the standard functioning of peer-reviewed journals. Data that will assist in developing this publishing platform may be shared with its developer in an anonymized and aggregated form, with appropriate exceptions such as article metrics. The data will not be sold by this journal nor will it be used for purposes other than those stated here. The authors published in this journal are responsible for the human subject data that figures in the research reported here.

Privacy Statement

Papers will be reviewed for possible publication in the Hasvet Journal of Veterinary Medicine with the understanding that they are being submitted to one journal at a time and have not been published, simultaneously submitted, or already accepted for publication elsewhere.
Initial Review: The Editors review all submitted manuscripts initially. Papers with insufficient originality, serious scientific and technical flaws, or lack of a significant message are rejected.
Acknowledgment: All papers received are duly acknowledged.
Expert Review: Papers are sent to two or more expert reviewers without revealing the identity of the contributors to the reviewers.
Final Decision: Each manuscript is assigned to a member of the editorial team who, based on the comments from the reviewers, takes a final decision on the manuscript.
Notification: The contributors will be informed about the reviewers' comments and the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.
