Obstetrics and Gynecology
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology focuses on the reproductive physiology, pregnancy processes, childbirth, and postpartum health issues in domestic animals.
Students gain skills in birth monitoring, assisted deliveries, diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases, infertility causes, and postpartum complications.
Practical training includes monitoring births, conducting rectal and vaginal exams, and using ultrasonography.
This area is especially important for increasing fertility and maintaining productivity in large livestock.
