Aquatic Animal Diseases
The Department of Aquatic Animal Diseases deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and control of diseases seen in fish and other aquatic species (mussels, shrimp, frogs, etc.).
Students learn about bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal diseases affecting aquatic animals, as well as environmental stress factors and hygiene management.
Additionally, students are trained in aquaculture systems, fish health management, water quality, and preventive medicine to promote sustainable fish production.
This field is important for both animal welfare and food safety.
