Khazar University was established on March 18, 1991, under the name “Azerbaijan University” by Resolution No. 41 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The university was structured with English as the language of instruction in order to meet the country's need for qualified, English-speaking professionals.

In 1992, by the decision of the University Academic Council, the name was changed to Khazar University.

Khazar University Hasvet Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has embarked on a mission to educate the veterinarians and scientists of the future.

On May 1, 2025, an official cooperation protocol was signed between Hasvet A.Ş. and Khazar University, marking the formal establishment of Khazar University Hasvet Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

On June 20, 2025, the faculty was officially recognized and inaugurated within the structure of Khazar University.

On July 7, 2025, the fully equipped Baku International Animal Hospital, founded by Hasvet, was restructured to serve as the Teaching and Training Hospital of Khazar University Hasvet Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Thanks to this strong academic partnership, an educational model grounded in contemporary scientific approaches and international perspectives is being implemented. Our faculty has been designed with a visionary approach that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical training.
